Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Sponsored Content & Product (all genders)

About the Position

Join our Product & Tech Department as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for Sponsored Content & Product, focusing on building scalable self-serve CPC bidding marketplaces.

About Our Product & Tech Department

Our mission is to digitize the classic shopping stroll, turning it into a personalized, inspiring experience for every customer. Technology and data sit at the center of everything we build. We are not a fashion company with a tech team on the side. Tech drives our product, our strategy, and our growth.

Our proprietary tech stack powers our own shops and SCAYLE, our commerce infrastructure solution that serves over 350 brands globally. Same foundation, bigger stage. The challenges keep things interesting.

What To Expect

The Sponsored Content & Products team is a key growth driver. Its mission is to build highly scalable self-serve cost-per-click (CPC) bidding marketplaces that empower brands to efficiently boost their visibility in real time right at the digital point of sale.

Operating within an existing ecosystem, our evolution into specialized product teams provides an autonomous, greenfield-like environment. Your QA automation blueprints and testing frameworks will directly safeguard application stability, drive developer velocity, and enable us to safely multiply our Retail Media revenue.

  • Build testing tools, configurations, and mock layers that enable engineers to write and maintain their own reliable tests
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test suites (E2E, integration, UI) to catch regressions before they hit production
  • Apply exploratory manual testing to new features, using those insights to iteratively expand our automated test suites
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to refine acceptance criteria, reproduce complex bugs, and manage the bug lifecycle

Who You Are

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical tech industry experience
  • 5+ years of professional software quality assurance experience
  • Solid experience writing and maintaining automated UI test suites using modern frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
  • Proficient in testing RESTful endpoints and managing network-layer mocking patterns using tools like MSW, Postman, or native framework stubs
  • Comfortable navigating modern web stacks involving JavaScript/TypeScript and React ecosystems, as well as server-side API environments like PHP/Laravel
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills for clear technical documentation and team communication
  • A collaborative mindset centered on building testing infrastructure that makes it easy for the whole team to deliver quality
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with delivery velocity, knowing when to demand absolute rigor for critical flows versus shipping lighter features quickly
  • Self-motivated to proactively identify testing coverage gaps without constant oversight
  • Ability to communicate technical defects, edge cases, and quality trade-offs clearly, constructively, and objectively to engineers and product owners

Nice to Have

  • Experience leveraging Storybook components to build visual regression or snapshot testing routines
  • Prior experience in eCommerce, retail tech, or ad-tech handling analytics reporting platforms or advertiser workflows
