Senior React Developer

About the Position

We are recruiting a Senior React Developer with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Scrum experience to join the team of our customer, a U.S.-based technology solutions partner for companies in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmacy, and finance.

You will build, operate, and maintain technology solutions that have real business impact. This is a very exciting opportunity for a technologist! It’s a mix of business and technology, allowing mature engineers to grow their understanding of the business side while also leveraging their technical skills.

Responsibilities

As a senior software engineer, you will split your day working with customers, Project Managers, and the technical team. You will:

• Work with the Project Manager (PM) and Technical Lead (TL) to apply your technical expertise to deliver systems and updates to them
• Participate in the planning sessions
• Provide time and cost estimates for your work
• Break up features into manageable tasks and then implement features autonomously
• Identify the appropriate technical solutions and implement them
• Review pull requests
• Evangelize clean code and best practices inside the team

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years working as a developer
  • Advanced TypeScript and JavaScript knowledge are preferred
• A minimum of 2 years experience with building backend APIs
• A minimum of 3 years working with React
  • Preferably some experience with a modern state management library (e.g., Redux)
• A minimum of 2 years experience with porting designs (e.g., Figma) to functional styled React components
• Experience with another front-end framework/library other than React (e.g., Angular, Backbone.js, etc)
• Have worked on enterprise applications before
• Fluent with Git (we are power users of GitHub)
• You have worked in a team with a formal planning methodology (Scrum or something else) for 5+ years

Nice to Have

• You are capable of routinely delivering at least one PR to production each workday
• You are fluent in English (B2)
• It’s easy to interact with you: you speak your mind, and you communicate clearly
• You ask questions to clarify the requirements
