Senior React Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior React Developer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our WMI Core Technology team in Pune, India. You will be responsible for leading UI development and building scalable React-based applications from the ground up. As a senior candidate, you should be confident in taking ownership of the process and capable of designing scalable UI architecture while leading front-end best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring, and modern web technologies such as React.
• Lead the UI development as an individual contributor.
• Design scalable UI architecture.
• Lead front-end best practices.

Requirements

• Must have:

  • Extensive experience in building Micro Frontends and developing React-based applications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Deep understanding of React.js and its core principles.
  • Experience with React hooks, functional components, and state management (e.g., Context API, Redux).
  • HTML5 and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS or LESS).
  • RESTful API integration.
  • Version control with Git.
  • Responsive and adaptive design (using frameworks like Material-UI, Bootstrap, or styled-components).
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitLab Copilot, IDE-based copilots).
  • Familiarity with using generative AI for code suggestions, unit test creation, debugging, and documentation.
  • Eagerness to adopt AI tools to improve development efficiency and learning.

• Nice to have:

  • TypeScript with React.
  • Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with Next.js or other React-based frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
  • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker).
