Senior React Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior React Engineer with strong frontend expertise and solid knowledge of the travel domain to join our Engineering Team. In this role, you will contribute to a modern SaaS cloud platform serving the airline and travel industry, building new product capabilities while improving scalability, performance, and overall user experience.

Our solutions enable airlines and travel agencies to distribute and retail travel products in line with modern industry standards, including New Distribution Capability (NDC). We are aligned with key industry frameworks and standards in airline distribution and order management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern React-based frontend solutions for a SaaS travel platform
• Deliver new product features with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, and usability
• Lead frontend performance optimization initiatives across applications and shared components
• Analyze UI bottlenecks and improve page load speed, rendering efficiency, and application responsiveness
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless integration with APIs, services, and data layers
• Participate in architecture discussions and help define frontend engineering standards
• Review code, mentor team members, and promote engineering best practices
• Investigate business requirements and proactively suggest product and UX improvements
• Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies and recommend practical innovations
• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and clean development processes

Requirements

• 5+ years in JavaScript, including 4+ years with React.js in production
• Strong in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, deep understanding of React (hooks, lifecycle, performance, architecture)
• Experience with state management (Redux, Context, Zustand or similar)
• Proven experience building high-performance, responsive web apps and integrating with REST APIs
• Strong skills in performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Experience with modern tooling (npm, yarn, bundlers) and testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, etc.)
• Good understanding of frontend best practices (code quality, security, documentation)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL integration and understanding of scalable systems
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams, strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to mentor others and influence technical decisions
• Experience in the travel domain and with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Commercial experience with Node.js and/or Next.js
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience in airline retailing, NDC, order management, or travel commerce platforms
• Familiarity with Java-based backend environments (Spring Boot ecosystem)
• Experience with microservices-based systems
• Previous experience leading frontend initiatives or mentoring teams
• Experience building AI-powered solutions or integrating AI pipelines/APIs into software projects
