About the Position
Senior Relationship Manager
We are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to join our Corporate Sector Coverage team in Budapest, Hungary. This is a senior, client-facing role where you will take ownership of key relationships, originate new business opportunities, and deliver tailored financial solutions, while contributing to sector strategy and team leadership.
Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Business Development:
- Manage, maintain, and grow a portfolio of corporate clients with full budget responsibility
- Acquire new clients in line with ING’s targeting strategy
- Identify business opportunities and deliver tailored financial solutions
- Sell and cross-sell the full range of ING corporate banking products

Strategy & Commercial Contribution:
- Support the Sector Head in defining and executing sector strategy and tactical plans
- Contribute to broader bank strategy development
- Ensure profitability while balancing risk considerations

Performance, Risk & Governance:
- Maintain high-quality credit portfolio management
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures
- Deliver timely responses to client requests and honour commitments
- Uphold strong data quality and operational standards

Leadership & Collaboration:
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Delegate effectively and support team development
- Act as back-up to the Sector Head when required
- Collaborate across teams and represent the sector internally with credibility
Requirements

Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate banking or a similar environment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of banking products and financial markets
- Proven relationship management and business development skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Fluent in English
