About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Relationship Manager with 5+ years of experience in corporate banking to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. This is a senior, client-facing role where you will take ownership of key relationships, originate new business opportunities, and deliver tailored financial solutions, while contributing to sector strategy and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development:

    • Manage, maintain, and grow a portfolio of corporate clients with full budget responsibility.
    • Acquire new clients in line with ING’s targeting strategy.
    • Identify business opportunities and deliver tailored financial solutions.
    • Sell and cross-sell the full range of ING corporate banking products.
  • Strategy & Commercial Contribution:

    • Support the Sector Head in defining and executing sector strategy and tactical plans.
    • Contribute to broader bank strategy development.
    • Ensure profitability while balancing risk considerations.
  • Performance, Risk & Governance:

    • Maintain high-quality credit portfolio management.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures.
    • Deliver timely responses to client requests and honour commitments.
    • Uphold strong data quality and operational standards.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Coach and mentor junior team members.
    • Delegate effectively and support team development.
    • Act as back-up to the Sector Head when required.
    • Collaborate across teams and represent the sector internally with credibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate banking or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and financial markets.
  • Proven relationship management and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Fluent in English.
