About the Position
We're looking for an SAP ABAP Engineering Manager / Technology Leader to join our team in Nicosia, Cyprus in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead and grow high-performing SAP engineering teams, define development standards and drive enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs. As an expert in SAP technologies, you will combine strong technical leadership with strategic delivery oversight, supporting S/4HANA modernization and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to influence enterprise SAP strategy, promote innovation and foster engineering excellence across global delivery models.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop distributed SAP engineering teams, including architects, consultants, and team leads
- Define and govern SAP architecture standards, development guidelines, and technical delivery frameworks
- Drive enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs, S/4HANA implementations, ABAP Cloud, and BTP extension initiatives
- Provide technical leadership in ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData v2/v4, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP
- Ensure compliance with clean core principles, extensibility best practices, and scalable enterprise solutions
- Oversee delivery quality through architecture validations, code reviews, ATC checks, and CI/CD practices
- Collaborate with clients, delivery leadership, and business stakeholders to shape robust SAP solutions
- Support presales and solutioning activities, including workshops, estimations, and technical proposals
- Promote innovation in SAP engineering with AI-augmented development, automation, and modern practices
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SAP engineering, development, or enterprise architecture
- Strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, and S/4HANA development
- Proven track record of leading SAP engineering or development teams in complex environments
- Solid understanding of SAP BTP, clean core strategy, released APIs, and modern extension patterns
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5, integration architecture, and enterprise system landscapes
- Background in SAP transformation programs, S/4HANA migrations, and ECC modernization
- Familiarity with technical governance, code quality practices, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams effectively
- Strong people management, leadership, and communication skills in multicultural environments
- Excellent English language skills

- Experience with presales, technical consulting, estimation, and executive-level presentations
- Knowledge or interest in AI-augmented SAP development and developer productivity improvements
- Familiarity with automation and modern DevOps practices within SAP engineering landscapes
