About the Position
We're looking for a Senior SAP Basis System Architect to join our team in Cyprus in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of SAP platform architectures that enable scalability, security, and operational excellence across diverse landscapes. This position offers an opportunity to shape enterprise-level SAP transformation programs and influence strategic technology decisions that impact business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define SAP platform architecture standards and governance
- Design SAP S/4HANA landscapes for on-premise, private, and public cloud environments
- Lead RISE with SAP adoption and cloud transformation initiatives
- Develop strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
- Define SAP security architecture and compliance in partnership with security teams
- Drive modernization initiatives and Clean Core compliance
- Establish observability and monitoring using SAP Cloud ALM
- Design automation strategies for provisioning and operations
- Provide technical leadership during upgrades, migrations, and conversions
- Support hyperscaler deployments across Azure, AWS, and GCP
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and architecture
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and migration strategies
- Proficiency in SAP HANA Database, NetWeaver, Landscape Management, and Cloud ALM
- Knowledge of RISE with SAP and SAP Private Cloud Edition
- Experience in cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Solid understanding of security concepts such as SAP Identity Management, SSO, and encryption standards
- Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and performance engineering
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP BTP administration and enterprise architecture tools (LeanIX, Signavio)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices with tools like Terraform
- Exposure to Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
