About the Role
At Mercanis, we are developing the Agentic AI Procurement Suite, which makes procurement digital, transparent, and intelligent for tomorrow. To seamlessly integrate our AI solution into the enterprise landscapes of our clients, we are looking for a Senior SAP Integration Engineer – S/4HANA (m/w/d).
In this role, you will be the technical spearhead for the configuration and implementation of interfaces between Mercanis and SAP ecosystems. You will work directly with the IT teams of our enterprise clients and implement complex interfaces in a technically sound, secure, and scalable manner.
Responsibilities
- Interface Implementation: You will be responsible for and configure the technical connection of our Mercanis Suite to customer enterprise systems with a clear focus on SAP S/4HANA (as well as SAP Ariba).
- Technical Customer Consultation & Delivery: You will work directly with the IT & SAP representatives of our clients, analyze their data structures and workflows, and implement integration solutions practically.
- API & Data Flow Standards: You will define and maintain robust interface and API standards to ensure secure, consistent, and high-performance data transfer.
- Requirement Translation: You will translate complex technical requirements of customer systems into clear specifications for our internal engineering and product teams.
- Testing & Maintenance: You will ensure that interfaces run stably even in complex system landscapes through structured testing, performance analysis, and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience: Several years of solid professional experience in the technical implementation and configuration of SAP interfaces/integrations - ideally gained in an IT consultancy, system integrator, or enterprise SaaS environment.
- SAP Expertise: Deep technical understanding of SAP S/4HANA as well as common SAP integration technologies and APIs (knowledge of Coupa or Ariba is a plus).
- Hands-on & Implementation Strength: You are a reliable implementer with strong technical depth who enjoys the concrete configuration and architecture of interfaces.
- Customer Orientation: Good social and communicative skills in dealing with technical contacts on the customer side.
- Language Skills: Fluent German skills at C2 level and very good English are mandatory due to customer projects in the DACH region.
