Senior Scala Engineer

About the Position

We're seeking a Senior Scala Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in data analytics to join our global music rights management team. You will be developing a groundbreaking Performance Measurement solution.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a dynamic team developing a groundbreaking Performance Measurement solution designed to count every song play worldwide, harnessing parallel computing to process extensive data from diverse sources and achieve seamless aggregation at scale.
• Solve complex problems at the architectural, coding, and product levels.
• Discover creative solutions that balance practicality and innovation, considering both short and long-term goals.
• Implement new and exciting features end-to-end in collaboration with the product team.
• Collaborate with the US-based client team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on development experience, designing and implementing large/complex systems with Scala.
• Experience with Apache Spark (or Azure Databricks, or analogue).
• Knowledge of modern backend frameworks, scalable software development practices, design patterns, data structures.
• Understanding of algorithms and their principles.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience.
• Good understanding of SDLC process, version control, code review, continuous integration, and automated deployment tools.
• Strong background with CI/CD methodology.
• Advanced level of English.
• Experience with Specs2 testing framework is a plus.
• Cloud service experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• B.Sc in Computer Science is an advantage.
