About the Position
Bitdefender, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join our Managed Detection and Response team in San Antonio, United States. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing customer environments and responding to incidents, ensuring our clients can achieve their objectives with minimized risk.

About the Role
- Shift Schedule: This is a full-time position in a 24/7 operation with a four 10-hour shifting schedule. Scheduled rotations for weekend shifts will be required.
- Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for security events from multiple sources.
- Threat Detection: Using the Cyber Kill Chain, indicators of activity, and indicators of compromise with current intelligence information, proactively review customers' environments searching for anomalous behavior across network, host, and logs data.
- Incident Response: Lead an Incident Response Team to investigate and remediate active threats while accurately documenting results using standard incident response techniques.
- Analytic Signatures: Develop analytic signatures to identify suspicious and malicious behaviors.
Requirements
- Cybersecurity Principles: Working knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Cyber Threats and Vulnerabilities: Familiarity with cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response Methodologies: Knowledge of current incident response methodologies.
- Cyber Investigative Techniques: Proficiency in current cyber investigative techniques.
- Cyber Threat Trends: Understanding of current cyber threat trends.
- Computer Networking Concepts and Protocols: Expertise in computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Log File Analysis: Ability to perform analysis of log files from a variety of sources to identify possible threats to network security.
- System Administration: Basic system administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.
- System Components: Identifying, modifying, and manipulating applicable system components within Windows, Unix, or Linux.
- Research and Correlation: Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of all source data sets.
- Defense-in-Depth Principles: Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and practices.
- Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Understanding of virtualization and cloud computing.
- System Files Identification: Knowledge of which system files contain relevant information and where to find those system files.
- Hacking Methodologies: Familiarity with hacking methodologies.
- Networking Protocols: Knowledge of networking protocols, services, and how they interact to provide network communications.
- Encryption Algorithms: Understanding of encryption algorithms and how they are used.
- Packet-Level Analysis: Ability to perform packet-level analysis using appropriate tools.
- SIEM Tools: Proficiency in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Web Application Firewall (WAF): Knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Regular Expressions (Regex): Proficiency in Regular Expressions (Regex).
