About Shine

Shine is the financial copilot for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Founded by serial entrepreneurs Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund, Shine is a leading European fintech unicorn on a mission to restore the joy of running a business, by ending wasted time on financial admin. Shine offers a connected solution for invoicing, accounting, payroll, business accounts, payments, and financing, meaning business owners can focus their energy on growing a healthy business, not held back by manual admin.

Part of something bigger

Today we're part of Cegid, a European leader in cloud software for finance and accounting. Together we're building Europe's leading financial copilot for small businesses and their accountants.

Shine already supports more than 400,000 small businesses. As part of Cegid, we now reach over one million small businesses and 15,000 accountants across Europe.

We're a multicultural team working from France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, contributing to a wider European network that spans Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

Your hiring experience matters

Just as we respect our customers' time, we respect yours. Your experience with Shine and Cegid should feel simple, transparent and genuinely supportive.

If this sounds like somewhere you want to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

The Organic growth team at Shine

Our Organic Growth Team operates at the intersection of SEO, content and lead generation, driving high-impact, non-paid acquisition at scale. We're expanding aggressively across six European markets, tailoring our digital presence to local intent signals and regional search behaviours.

This is a team that thinks beyond rankings. We bridge global strategy with local execution, building a sustainable international growth engine, and we're just getting started with GEO.

Your role as a Senior SEO Manager

As our Senior SEO Manager, you will be the driving force behind Shine’s organic visibility in Denmark. You’ll sit at the crossroads of technical SEO, content strategy, and conversion, with a mission to future-proof our growth through GEO. Your goal is simple: ensure Shine remains the most visible and trusted answer for Danish businesses, whether on traditional search engines or the new AI-driven search landscape.

📍 This role is based in our Copenhagen office, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasional days.

What You'll Be Doing

SEO Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and lead the organic growth roadmap for the Danish market, focused on high-intent keywords and sustainable traffic growth.
  • Take full ownership of Shine's Danish website, driving performance across both properties
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities across technical, on-page and off-page levers.

GEO & AI Search

  • Drive Shine's transition toward GEO, ensuring we remain a trusted answer in AI-driven search experiences.
  • Stay ahead of LLM-influenced discovery patterns and adapt our content and entity strategy accordingly.
  • Experiment and iterate fast as the search landscape evolves.

Conversion & Lead Generation

  • Design and optimise lead magnets and landing pages that convert organic visitors into qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing to align SEO with the full acquisition funnel.
  • Think beyond clicks, you understand how organic traffic translates into real business value.

Local Authority & Market Expertise

  • Deepen Shine's regional footprint by leveraging Danish search trends, local intent signals and geo-specific insights.
  • Outmanoeuvre competitors through sharp local positioning.

Technical SEO

  • Audit and maintain site health, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, indexation and more.
  • Partner with engineering to implement technical improvements at pace.

Growth Analytics

  • Monitor organic performance, market share and competitive movements using your standard stack Search Console, Semrush, Oncrawl, Screaming Frog, Peec.ai.
  • Turn data into decisions, run experiments, measure outcomes and iterate quickly.
  • Report clearly on what's working, what isn't, and what's next.

What You Bring

Proven SEO track record

  • Demonstrable experience scaling organic traffic in the Danish market, with a sharp understanding of local search nuances

B2B SaaS mindset

  • Background in B2B SaaS (fintech or banking experience is a bonus) - you understand the acquisition funnel and speak the language of growth.

GEO-curious or GEO-ready

  • You're already exploring or actively working with Generative Engine Optimization and understand how LLMs are reshaping discovery.

Data-driven decision maker

  • You don't act on gut alone - you are fluent with data manipulation and interpretation.

Autonomous and collaborative

  • You're comfortable owning your market independently while navigating cross-functional teams across marketing, product and engineering

Strong communicator

  • You can translate complex SEO concepts for non-technical stakeholders and communicate clearly in both Danish (native) and English (fluent)

Resilient and adaptable

  • You thrive in ambiguity, handle change well, and bring structure to fast-moving environments

Hands-on and curious

  • Side projects, personal SEO experiments? We'd love to hear about them.
