Senior ServiceNow Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Portugal. This role is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to drive advanced development and AI-driven capabilities within the ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities

• Core & Advanced Development: Design, develop, and implement technical solutions across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, FSM, and SecOps.
• AI-Driven Innovation: Configure, tune, and maintain advanced platform capabilities including generative AI, autonomous agent orchestration for workflow execution, decision automation, and predictive/task intelligence.
• AI Governance: Monitor AI model performance, bias, drift, and overall platform governance to align with responsible enterprise AI standards.
• Integrations: Develop and manage RESTful API integrations - both inbound and outbound - with third-party systems, covering authentication, data transformations, and error handling.
• Platform Customisation: Customise enterprise applications using JavaScript and standard ServiceNow scripting models: Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Studio, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in sprint reviews to track deployment progress against timelines, working closely with infrastructure, security, cross-functional stakeholders, and delivery partners.
• Maintenance & Best Practices: Maintain thorough technical documentation of configurations, customisations, and development practices while staying current with platform releases and upgrade paths.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on development experience directly on the ServiceNow platform.
• Core Processes: Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request, Knowledge) and working knowledge of ITOM components (Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, Service Mapping).
• Advanced Modules: Demonstrated experience with CSM, Service Bridge, and ML Ops principles for AI model lifecycle management.
• Web Development: Experience with Service Portal development, including HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Glide scripting.
• Technical Components: Familiarity with Integration Hub, MID Servers, scoped app development, and relational database and CMDB architectures.
• Methodologies: Comfortable working within DevOps and Agile/Scrum environments with standard version control practices (e.g., Git).

Certifications

• Required: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), and Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM or CSM (minimum).
• Desirable: ITIL v4 Practitioner level or above, Agile methodology training, and familiarity with LLM-based workflow orchestration, NLU/NLP, or vector search technologies.
