Senior SFCC Developer

About the Position

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior SFCC Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of pet feed and accessories.

A team needs someone to operate beyond implementation - someone who can own technical design, guide execution, and collaborate closely with product stakeholders. This role requires a balance of hands-on development, architectural thinking, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Take a business feature and break it down into clear, logical development steps.
• Define sequencing and dependencies.
• Partner with product owners to challenge, refine requirements, and ensure technical feasibility before development starts.
• Design scalable and maintainable solutions within SFCC.
• Make sound technical decisions and articulate trade-offs.
• Ensure alignment with long-term platform evolution.
• Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
• Support and mentor non-SFCC engineers.
• Help elevate overall team capability on SFCC.
• Guide code reviews and best practices.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt.
• Improve code quality, structure, and maintainability over time.
• Push for sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFRA preferred). Understanding of SFCC full-stack development.
• Understanding of backend logic (controllers, pipelines, cartridges).
• Experience in front-end development (ISML, JavaScript), but not limited to front-end.
• Understanding of integrations (OCAPI / APIs).
• A demonstrated architecture/design ownership.
• Strong evidence of communication with product/business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers.
• A strong ownership mentality.
• Be comfortable operating in ambiguous/problem-solving situations.
• The ability to act as a bridge between business and engineering.
• Demonstrates leadership without necessarily having a formal management title.

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless or hybrid commerce.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (React, etc.).
• Experience with integration-heavy environments.
