About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer - Networking platform to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves performing embedded system software design and implementation for high-performance data networking products as part of a dynamic engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Architect/Design and Develop embedded platform software for high-end networking solutions
- Work closely with the HW Development team for platform features & fixes
- Participate in HW Design reviews, articulate system software requirements
- Experience in Linux Kernel upgrades & Yocto packages
- Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing, SQA, and other development teams to ensure embedded platform software meets all performance, scalability, interoperability, and security requirements
- Lead the platform team, interact cross-functionally on matters that require coordination across organizational lines
- Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign-off
- Interface with developers, QA, documentation, customer support, and program management teams
- Participate in the full product life cycle development
Requirements
- Minimum of B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/IT
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom- Embedded/Network Management
- Excellent understanding of Linux Internals, Device Driver development, BIOS/BMC Operations
- Expertise in Linux networking IP stack along with port management expertise in a router
- Excellent knowledge of switching ASICs (Broadcom XGS/DNX) to address platform requirements
- Expert programming skills in C/C++
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile development environment
- Familiarity with Secure coding practices
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Must have strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (Virtual Machines, Containers)
