Senior Software Developer (Python)

About the Position

We seek a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to enhance our team. With an unwavering dedication to a product engineering ethos, we meticulously craft solutions customized to fulfill the intricate business requirements of our esteemed user base.

Responsibilities

• Development of new functionality from scratch
• Providing new and improving existing technical solutions
• Close interaction with development teams like QA, Frontend, DevOps
• Optimization of database performance
• Continuous planning and participation in the development of some microservice layers
• Creating RFC and System Design documentation for further development

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Python Developer
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Thorough understanding of relational databases and SQL, including expertise in indexing, sharding, and partitioning techniques
• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, with proficiency in Big O notation
• Familiarity with the REST API model
• Proven experience in profiling and optimizing SQL and Python code
• Hands-on experience with Celery
• Proficiency with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Familiarity with concepts of Django REST Framework (DRF) or FastAPI
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• Proficiency in using Redis
• Experience in conducting smoke/unit testing using Pytest
• Proficiency in bash scripting
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus / LOKI, Data Dog, etc.
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline building
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and manipulating any cloud orchestration instruments
