About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer In Test with 5+ years of experience in Python, databases, and Git to join our team in Gdynia, Poland. This role offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements analysis and challenge requirements when they are unclear or incomplete
- Prepare test scenarios and test cases
- Prepare and manage test data
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Robot Framework and Python
- Implement automated solutions supporting day-to-day tasks
- Plan and execute test activities
- Analyze test results and report defects
- Execute automated regression tests as part of CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and implement improvements in daily processes, tasks, and challenges
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience developing in Python
- 5+ years of experience working with database technologies
- 5+ years of experience using Git
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework
- 3+ years of experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Strong practical experience with Linux environments and Bash scripting
- Solid experience in test planning, execution, automation, and defect management
- Experience with test management tools such as qTest or Zephyr
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo, Jira, and Bitbucket
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Confidence to challenge inefficient solutions and processes, with the ability to propose improved alternatives
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Knowledge of streaming and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, IBM MQ)
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices and ways of working
