About the Position
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our EA team in Vancouver, Canada, focusing on developing user interface framework technology using AI-assisted workflows. You will have opportunities to grow your ownership across the engine and shape how we apply AI to game development at EA. You will report to an Engine Development Leader and collaborate with engineers across our game teams and central technology, and help build the future of UI technology at EA.
Responsibilities
- Initially develop user interface framework technology and, over time, contribute to scalable systems and tools across Frostbite.
- Contribute to large-scale technical migrations and modernization efforts across Frostbite.
- Apply AI-assisted tools and techniques across design, implementation, testing, and debugging to improve the quality and speed of our delivery.
- Partner with our game teams to turn their requirements into engine and workflow improvements.
- Take ownership of technical challenges from design through delivery as our priorities evolve.
- Communicate progress against technical commitments, sharing insights across our engineering organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with proficiency in C++.
- Demonstrated ability designing and building user interface systems, frameworks, or tools in a game engine or large-scale environment.
- Experience applying AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
- Contributed to large-scale migrations, modernization efforts, or architecture changes.
- Experience collaborating effectively across multiple teams, including distributed teams working across different time zones.

- Competitive salary range of $141,400 - $204,400 CAD (depending on location in British Columbia).
