About the Position

Senior Software Engineer I - Product Eligibility

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Eligibility team, a part of the Regional Platform Squad at Wise. This role is crucial in helping us accurately determine which products and features are available to our customers by overhauling how we capture and validate customer information.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision for the owned domain.
• Contribute to the platform, back office tooling, and customer-facing flows.
• Help scale-up and build a world-class transfer product.

Requirements

• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Years of Java 8+ knowledge.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and designing schemas.
• Strong product mindset and passion for customer experience.
• Ability to prioritize work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
• Adherence to best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback.
• Enjoyment of writing testable code and belief in Test Driven Development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring boot.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with BFFs (Backend-for-Frontends).

We Offer

• Starting salary: £87,500 - £111,000
