Senior Software Engineer II - Payin Platform - Backend (Java)

Responsibilities

• Build the Payin Session and Payment abstractions that let every product integrate a payment method once and scale to millions of transactions without re-solving the same problems.
• Ensure correctness, reliability, and thoughtful API design in high-volume, high-leverage platform systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go
• Strong experience with Spring framework, relational databases, and distributed and concurrent systems (Kafka)
• Excellent cross-team communication skills
• Experience in writing testable code and testing strategies, such as unit testing and integration testing
• Adherence to best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Commitment to improving team culture and processes
• A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience
• Ability to work independently on customer problems and take end-to-end ownership of projects
