Senior Software Engineer (Java)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to build cloud-native, event-driven apps with Java, Spring Boot, React, and Kafka. You will design microservices, ship through CI/CD, and improve reliability in production on Microsoft Azure with a team that values clean engineering and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance full stack features using Java, Spring Boot, and React
• Design microservices and event-driven workflows using Apache Kafka
• Create and maintain REST application programming interfaces (APIs) and integrations
• Improve delivery pipelines using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
• Deploy and run services on Microsoft Azure using containers
• Partner with product, QA, and engineering peers in Agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience with Java development in enterprise environments
• Strong background in Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience building front-end features with React.js, JavaScript, HyperText Markup Language (HTML), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and container tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows, and production support practices
• Solid knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and database integration patterns

Nice to Have

• Background in banking or financial services
• Cloud certifications are a plus (Microsoft Azure preferred)
• Experience with Kubernetes
