Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

About the Position

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET) to build and evolve a high-performance backend for a data-intensive trading and analytics platform used by thousands of active traders. The system processes millions of real-time events and requires low-latency design, reliable data flows, and precise handling of trading logic across a multi-tenant SaaS environment.

Locations: Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv (Hybrid, Remote)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend components and services using .NET/C# for trading simulation workflows
• Define and maintain API contracts consumed by frontend applications
• Implement scalable logic for trading operations, risk evaluation, and account management
• Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure consistent data handling and integration flows
• Integrate third-party services such as payment providers and external APIs
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure system reliability and correctness
• Deploy and validate services in Kubernetes development environments
• Participate in technical design discussions and support less experienced engineers through mentorship
• Investigate and resolve issues in pre-production and production environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development using C# and the modern .NET ecosystem
• Strong experience designing and building scalable backend services and APIs
• Hands-on experience with real-time data streams using WebSockets, gRPC, and messaging systems such as Kafka or NATS
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization
• Practical understanding of trading concepts (e.g., tick, bid, ask, buy, sell) or hands-on experience in trading-related systems
• Experience integrating external services, including payment systems (e.g., Worldpay or similar)
• Familiarity with containerized environments and deploying applications to Kubernetes for development and testing
• Strong testing practices, including unit and integration testing aligned with Definition of Done
• Ability to contribute to frontend tasks using React and Next.js when needed
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level with strong communication and ownership mindset

• Experience working with financial platforms or proprietary trading environments
• Exposure to high-load systems with strict latency and performance constraints
• Understanding of distributed systems design and fault tolerance patterns
