About the Position
JetBrains is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Qodana Core) to join our team and enhance code quality and security in CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new static analysis checks, rules, and inter-procedural analysis algorithms.
- Extend capabilities in license compliance, security, and vulnerability detection.
- Optimize code analysis execution and orchestrate performance based on project context.
- Build and refine CI/CD integrations for Qodana.
- Collaborate with compiler and IDE teams at JetBrains.
- Take ownership of features from concept to release, iterating based on feedback.
Requirements
- Deep, practical knowledge of JVM development such as Kotlin or Java.
- Experience designing and implementing complex algorithms or performance-critical backend architectures.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
- Curiosity about code structure, compilers, and static analysis.
- Proactive mindset to improve processes and systems.
- Strong collaboration and logical reasoning skills.
- Comfortable working in a distributed international team.
- Focus on quality and long-term maintainability.
- Experience with developer tooling, static analysis, application security, or LLM-based applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with languages beyond JVM such as C++, Rust, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, .NET, or Go is valuable.
