Senior Solution Architect – Video, AI & Computer Vision (iOS)

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to support the development, operation, and continuous evolution of a digital service platform. The platform processes video recordings of railway infrastructure, together with GPS, sensor, and metadata information collected during track recording. The data is processed manually and automatically to ensure quality, contextual accuracy, data protection, and anonymization. The platform uses AI and Computer Vision techniques for object detection, positioning, 3D reconstruction, and anonymization. The technical landscape includes cloud-based software architecture, native iOS video-recording applications, computer vision algorithms, and full-stack web development. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership, helping define and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions for video acquisition, processing, positioning, and visual measurement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an agile Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement
• Facilitate technical workshops, present complex architectural topics, and support knowledge sharing, innovation, and standardization
• Conduct architecture, code, and test reviews, estimate implementation effort, and provide technical guidance to development teams
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of architectural solutions, ensuring technical quality and consistency throughout development
• Assess technical risks, recommend mitigation measures, and identify opportunities to improve existing architectures
• Define technical specifications, database designs, interfaces, APIs, and non-functional requirements in line with architectural standards
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures
• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications and backend services using Java and Python
• Design and implement AI-powered Computer Vision solutions for object detection, visual measurement, 3D reconstruction, and video anonymization using PyTorch, YOLO, OpenCV, and SciPy
• Develop and integrate solutions for video recording, GPS positioning, sensor data processing, and metadata management
• Design and evolve cloud-based software architectures for railway infrastructure video recording and processing, including native iOS applications using Swift

Requirements

• German language proficiency at C1 level
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• 3+ years of experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in technical communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder moderation is preferred
• Experience in transportation or railway infrastructure is preferred
• Experience defining non-functional requirements, assessing technical risks, and ensuring architectural quality
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, technical solution design, system integration, APIs, and database design
• 5+ years of full-stack web development experience using Java and Python
• 3+ years of experience developing visual measurement systems based on video object detection using OpenCV and SciPy
• 5+ years of experience developing AI-powered Computer Vision solutions using PyTorch and YOLO
• 5+ years of experience developing native iOS applications using Swift, specifically for railway infrastructure video recording
