About the Position
Join 3Shape as a Senior Specialist for Windows Client Configuration, focusing on imaging and automation for our medical scanning solutions. Are you passionate about Imaging, Deployment, Automation, and Maintenance of Windows client OS? Then you might be our new colleague.
Responsibilities
- Own the Windows platform strategy for our scanner solutions by defining OS standards including modernization, automation, and lifecycle improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and guide the client platform team to technical decisions related to OS, drivers, firmware, and hardware compatibility.
- Act as escalation point and subject matter expert for Windows OS platform-related topics providing expert guidance on complex issues.
- Define requirements, maintain documentation, and version control to ensure stable, predictable, and secure Windows image releases while ensuring compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functionality partnering with R&D and Product teams to align deployment practices.
- Review and approve major changes, from new hardware selections and product releases to image servicing processes, and deployment configurations.
Requirements
- Expert-level with a minimum of 5 years experience with:
- DISM
- WinPE
- Sysprep
- SCCM/MECM task sequences
- MDT and Intune/Autopilot
- Windows servicing (updates, feature upgrades)
- Advanced PowerShell automation
- Strong understanding of driver catalogues, BIOS/firmware alignment, and hardware lifecycle.
- Familiarity with security hardening, compliance frameworks, and Windows baselines.
- Technical leadership mindset with ownership mentality and structured risk-aware decision making, with the ability to mentor, grow technical team members and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance stability, compliance, and product performance.
- Microsoft certifications (MD-101, MD-102, and MD-500 series or similar) is an advantage.
