About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior SSRS Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in SSRS installation, configuration, deployment, report development, performance tuning, and administration.

Responsibilities

SSRS Development & Implementation

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
Create Tabular, Matrix, Drill-Down, Drill-Through, Parameterized, and Linked Reports.
Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop complex datasets, stored procedures, and queries for reporting needs.
Ensure report performance optimization and efficient data retrieval.

SSRS Installation & Administration

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Configure Report Server, Report Manager, Data Sources, and Security Settings.
Manage report deployment across Development, Test, and Production environments.
Troubleshoot SSRS server issues, configuration problems, and report failures.
Define backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for SSRS environments.

Database & SQL Development

Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
Work with large datasets and perform query tuning for improved performance.
Support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.

Support & Maintenance

Provide production support for reporting applications.
Monitor report performance and resolve operational issues.
Collaborate with DBAs, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.

Requirements

Must have

7+ years of overall experience in SQL Server and SSRS.
Strong hands-on experience in implementing SSRS reporting solutions from scratch.
Experience with SSRS installation, configuration, and upgrades.
Proven expertise in report development and deployment.
Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of reports.
Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture and database concepts.
