About the Position
As a Senior Staff Test Engineer at Renesas JP, you will be responsible for applying a broad level of expertise and knowledge in test discipline. You will lead and contribute to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. This role involves working on significant and unique issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. You will apply conceptual thinking to understand advanced issues and their implications, exercising independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

- Create formal networks involving coordination among groups.
- Provide thought leadership on projects affecting the broader organization.
- Convey advanced information and persuade a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert and direct the activities of others as a technical lead.
- Ensure accountability for the results of yourself and your team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 8 to 12+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE).
- 8 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed signal, with a strong focus on analog power management IC (PMIC) testing.
- Experience in programming such as C++, basic, Perl, Python, etc.
- Experience in testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Proficient with ATE analog digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and strong debug/troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on experience in debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
- Experience with test hardware and test program development.
