About the Position
The Senior Strategic Content Manager is responsible for translating market intelligence, research, business priorities, and client evidence into compelling thought leadership narratives. This role serves as the bridge between GTM Marketing Leads, the Case Study COE, and the Editorial Team, ensuring content is strategically aligned with enterprise priorities and differentiated market positioning.
This individual is a strategist first and a content creator second. The role leads and manages a team of strategic content professionals. The Senior Strategic Content Manager is accountable for building, coaching, and developing a high-performing team, overseeing workload and capacity, and ensuring the team consistently delivers differentiated, business-aligned content at scale. In addition, they support identifying opportunities, shaping narratives, developing editorial recommendations, and guiding content development across industries and service lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of strategic content professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture
- Own recruiting and hiring, building a team with the strategic thinking and storytelling capabilities the function requires
- Oversee team workload, capacity, and prioritization, reallocating resources as business needs shift
- Provide editorial direction and constructive feedback that elevates the quality and impact of the team's work
- Develop narrative frameworks and key messaging aligned with enterprise priorities, industry trends, and service-line growth objectives
- Translate research and market intelligence into compelling thought leadership themes, narrative briefs, and content strategies
- Partner with SMEs, business leaders, marketing stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop differentiated market positions and identify emerging opportunities
- Support executive thought leadership programs and ensure consistency across enterprise narratives
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in content strategy, thought leadership, or journalism
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including coaching, performance management, and prioritizing work across multiple content initiatives
- Experience within professional services, technology services firms, or B2B enterprise organizations
- Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and developing a team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to develop narratives from research and market intelligence
- Experience partnering with executive stakeholders and SMEs
- Exceptional strategic thinking and storytelling capabilities
