About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Systemingenieur Linux-Debian (m/w/d) to join our team. This role is a freelance position based in Luzern (RZ Stollen) / Remote, DE. The project is scheduled to start on 09.11.2026 and last for 6 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate the existing concept for the move to a new data center --> Identify weaknesses/missing points
- Set up and commission Debian servers
- Establish individual infrastructure modules
- Secure system and customer access
- Set up a new GitLab system as an engineering platform
- Port existing applications and services
- Adjust DNS entries and routing
- Ensure customer access to the platform
- Migrate or port the mail server
- Set up and manage containers and virtual environments
- Implement or design automated software deployments
- Support the physical setup of racks
The goal is to ensure that the applications and services from the previous data center run completely and securely in the new data center after the move.
Requirements
Must-haves
- Experience with Linux Debian: Experience with Linux Debian in terms of setup, configuration, administration, and commissioning of servers
- Experience with data centers / hardware: Experience in setting up/equipping racks, installing server hardware, cabling, and commissioning physical servers
- Experience with containerization and virtualization: Experience with containerization and virtualization and an understanding of how containers and virtual systems are set up/operated on servers
- Experience with software deployment: Experience with automated software deployments, ideally CI/CD pipelines
- Language skills: Fluent in English and German

- Terraform (Infrastructure setup, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool), Ansible, Gitlab CI/CD
