Senior Technical Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join our Box Japan Consulting Team in Tokyo, Japan. As a technology expert, you will play a crucial role in transforming our customers' futures.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex customer challenges: Analyze and solve multi-departmental business and technical issues using Box.
• Drive technology projects: Take the initiative in leading technology-focused projects.
• Customer communication and requirement definition: Own the process of liaising with customers and defining requirements.
• Disseminate technology trends and lead internal knowledge: Share insights on BoxAI, RAG/Agentic RAG, AI, and other technologies, and drive internal knowledge.
• Provide feedback to products and drive internal improvements: Deliver customer feedback to product teams to influence product roadmaps and initiate and drive internal improvement tools and efficiency projects.

Box values community and in-person collaboration. Box Japan Consulting Team is a team of 10 people, and we are looking for someone who can work independently and take initiative.

Requirements

• Experience as an engineer who can "create" and "explain": Experience with REST API, SDK, OAuth, SAML, etc.
• Experience in the challenging environment of enterprise projects:
• High motivation to learn Box, external solutions, and new technologies:
• Proactive and self-driven attitude:
• Practical skills in using AI: Actively use the latest AI development environments such as BoxAI, Cursor, Claude Code, GPT Enterprise, etc., to improve business efficiency and quality. Knowledge of RAG/Agentic RAG and AI Coding is a plus.
• High-level customer support skills in Japanese and technical coordination skills in English:
• (Preferred) Industry and regulatory domain expertise: Familiarity with industry-specific requirements (security standards, compliance, data governance) in sectors such as finance, healthcare, and manufacturing, and the ability to propose industry-specific solutions.
