Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer (with test management skills) to join our team in Geneva, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode.
This role focuses on ensuring the quality of key banking applications, including a mobile banking app and a CRM platform. You will take full ownership of product quality, coordinate testing activities, and contribute to both automated and manual testing. As part of this role, you will collaborate with product owners, release management, internal QA resources, and EPAM crowd testing specialists to deliver robust, reliable software solutions in the banking domain.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary quality owner for the mobile banking application and support quality assurance for the CRM platform
- Define and implement product test plans with clear objectives, scope, and testing approach
- Coordinate testing activities across an internal QA team and EPAM-provided crowd testing services
- Design, review, and maintain test cases aligned with business requirements and user scenarios
- Manage requirements traceability within the client’s test management tool for transparent coverage and risk reporting
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright, JavaScript, and Appium where applicable
- Plan, execute, and monitor manual and automated test campaigns including regression testing
- Report testing progress, quality metrics, and risks to product, release, and project stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvements in QA processes and contribute to release management activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in software testing as a Test Automation Engineer, Test Engineer, or Test Manager
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, QA best practices, and test management processes
- Hands-on experience in test automation with Playwright and JavaScript
- Practical expertise in mobile testing; experience with Appium preferred
- Ability to perform manual testing when automation coverage is insufficient
- Familiarity with test management tools such as QTest or equivalent platforms
- Understanding of agile delivery methods and release management practices
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
- Fluent in English and French
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
- Experience in the banking or financial services sector
- Previous experience working with crowd testing providers
