Senior Test Engineer - Tieto Banktech (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Banktech. Tieto Banktech powers some of the Nordics’ most trusted banking systems with secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Using automation, data, AI, and cloud, supported by hands-on guidance, we help banks modernize their core, strengthen trust, and deliver greater impact across the banking experience.

This role is in the Payments and Cash Management unit, where we work on cutting-edge technology to create world-class financial products that are used by top banks worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test planning and create test cases to test complex web-based applications
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration & User acceptance Testing
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements and estimation
• Provide weekly/daily testing reports to the Test Lead/Manager
• Work as an individual contributor and maintain high standards of communication
• Present ideas for system improvements; assist the team in establishing good practices and habits
• Identify and document defects and drive them to closure through coordination

Requirements

• 10 - 14 years of experience
• Detailed understanding of how to properly document test cases
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of OOP concepts and the Java programming language
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving ability
• Good communication skills

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of at least one of the standard testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM, etc.
• Candidates with Banking/ Financial domain are preferred
