About the Position

Senior UX Designer

Location: Hyderabad, India

Join Backbase's Retail Banking team as a Senior UX Designer to lead retail banking projects and improve user experiences for millions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead retail banking projects from conception to delivery within Backbase’s design team.
• Act as a diplomat between the Design team and other stakeholders, advocating for customers and championing human-centric approaches and design thinking.
• Manage design projects from beginning to end, ensuring design efforts meet both customers' needs and business goals.
• Convince stakeholders of the efficacy of design principles and the value it brings to the business.

Requirements

• 5-8 years’ experience in Product Design
• Proficiency in design tools, specifically Figma
• Extensive experience working in Agile teams
• Proven ability to innovate and disrupt
• Equally talented in analytics and creativity
• Capable of looking at the big picture and diving into details
• Proven processes and frameworks for complex design problems
• Excellent communicator, confident writer, and speaker (English essential)
• Outstanding design portfolio demonstrating wider strategic design thinking in your projects

Nice to Have

• Experience with other design tools
• Experience in other design methodologies
• Experience in other programming languages
