Senior Validation test engineer with CI/CD knowledge

About the Position

Join Luxoft as a Senior Validation Test Engineer with CI/CD knowledge in Cairo, focusing on automotive software testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop and execute validation test cases (SWE.6 and SYS.5)
• Design automated test frameworks using Python
• Use CAPL scripting for ECU/network testing (CAN/LIN bus validation)
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and log detailed bug reports
• Support regression testing and continuous validation cycles
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using: GitLab CI & GitHub Actions
• Integrate automated testing stages into pipelines (build → test → deploy)
• Integrate test scripts with CI/CD pipelines for automated execution
• Develop reusable utilities and libraries to improve test efficiency and coverage
• Optimize pipeline performance
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and ensure high reliability of automation workflows
• Write PowerShell scripts for: Environment setup, Test execution automation, System configuration
• Setup and Troubleshoot issues involving Hardware

Requirements

• Experience in SWE6 & SYS5 activities (Requirements analysis, planning and reviewing test cases, execution and reporting)
• 4+ years of solid hands-on experience in software testing
• 4+ years of experience in the automotive / embedded domain
• Good experience in automation of test scripts and environment
• Proficiency in CAPL
• Good knowledge of canoe and vteststudio
• Proficiency in git
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience in Power Shell
• Hardware Knowledge
• Experience in CI/CD
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug software and environment issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Experience in gitlab CI / Git hub actions
• Experience with Linux, QNX, Nvidia HW
• Knowledge of vehicle bus-systems and protocols (Ethernet, CAN)
• Experience in testing activities on the Unit and Component qualification level
• Advanced experience in creating automated tests, execute them and collect results
• Experience in agile development (SCRUM and/or SAFe) would be a plus
• Knowledge on AUTOSAR Classic or AUTOSAR Adaptive would be a plus
