  • Define, govern, and manage the “Disruption Book”-a forward-looking framework that identifies, assesses, and prioritizes critical disruptions across the Group that require strategic positioning.
  • Drive Group-level strategic projects, including transformational topics (e.g., Sustainability Strategy), competitive repositioning, and cross-brand collaboration.
  • Lead strategic employee communication efforts to embed group-level strategy internally; support external strategic communication for investors and key clients in coordination with Investor Relations and Marketing.
  • Build and oversee a robust Market Intelligence Framework, including:
    • Macro and micro market trend analysis
    • Competitive benchmarking and positioning

  • Act as strategic interface between Corporate Strategy and Nemetschek Ventures, ensuring consistency between venture investment priorities and the Group’s disruption agenda.
  • Support scouting and due diligence activities related to disruptive trends, early-stage partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Lead or co-lead M&A projects, specifically:
    • Large-scale or transformative acquisitions (> €50M revenue)
    • Post-merger integration design, oversight, and playbook development
  • Build and lead the Strategy Community across the Group:
    • Organize regular cross-functional knowledge-sharing sessions
    • Deliver an annual in-person strategy community seminar
    • Cultivate an expert network among divisional strategists and C-level stakeholders
  • Deliver on both qualitative (e.g., stakeholder alignment, quality of strategy execution) and quantitative (e.g., revenue, EBITDA, share price impact, M&A value) targets linked to strategy success.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO and Group Executive Leadership Team on long-term positioning, strategic risks, capital allocation, and portfolio evolution.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic leadership roles, including:
    • In-house corporate strategy in a multinational matrix environment.
    • Significant experience from within relevant industries, e.g., Engineering, Construction, General Contractors, or Building Materials.
    • Strategy consulting at top-tier firms (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain).
    • Track record of successfully leading M&A deals and post-merger integration.
    • Experience working with executive boards and investor communities.
    • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking, particularly on how efficiency can be improved through digitalization and AI-driven automation.
    • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management across all levels.
    • Deep understanding of digital business models, software/SaaS trends, and global market dynamics.
    • Ability to translate strategy into execution in a matrix environment.
    • Strong communication and storytelling skills; fluency in English required, German a plus.
