About the Position
Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems, is seeking a Senior/Lead Hardware Engineer to join our Device Department in Lviv, Ukraine. This role is integral to our R&D division, which ensures the full development cycle of security and automation devices. Our team combines expertise from five departments, from embedded programming and hardware design to complex mechanics, pre-production, and international certification.
Responsibilities
- Design schematics for new Ajax devices, including calculations and simulations.
- Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer.
- Design devices considering certification requirements (LVD, EMC).
- Design devices for mass production.
- Design low-power devices.
- Design network devices (230 VAC).
- Optimize device costs (component standardization, alternative component search).
- Debug prototypes and resolve device issues.
- Prepare documentation for PCB manufacturing and assembly.
- Work with version control systems (git).
- Read technical documentation in English.

Nice to Have
- Experience with supply chain management for large-scale production (10,000+/month).
- Experience in creating embedded software for modern platforms (STM32, etc.).
- Understanding of signal integrity/power integrity principles in device design and experience with modeling/characterization of topologies (S-parameters, PDN impedance).
