About the Position
We are seeking a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Device Department in Kyiv, Kyiv City. This is a full-time, on-site position at Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems.

The R&D department, which consists of four divisions: System, Device, Automation, and QA, is responsible for the development of devices at Ajax. The Device Department focuses on developing devices for security and automation, facing significant challenges in the following areas:
- Low-Power: Devices must operate for as long as possible on standard batteries.
- Cost: Mass-produced products must remain within the mid-price range.
- DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFH (Design for Human): Circuitry, enclosures, and other elements must be easily replicated in hundreds of thousands of devices in production without loss of quality.
Development primarily focuses on STM32 (with other MCUs and SoCs also used), utilizing Embedded C. We have already assembled a strong team of talented hardware and Embedded C engineers, industrial designers, and mechanical designers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of devices for security and automation.
- Address challenges in low-power design, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in Embedded C and experience with STM32 or similar MCUs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
