Senior/Lead Product Engineer II - Contacts Team

Join Wise's Contacts Team as a Senior/Lead Product Engineer II, driving the technical vision for the backend solution powering the recipient’s user experience.

Responsibilities

You will be part of an autonomous team, driving the technical vision for the backend solution powering the recipient’s user experience. You will help us scale-up and build a world-class recipient management product.

Requirements

You get things done
Experience working with large-scale distributed systems
Years of Java 8+ knowledge
Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and designing schemas
Strong product mindset and passion for customer experience
Prioritizing work with the customers in mind and making data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
Enjoy collaborating with others and bringing people together to solve a problem
Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining clean RESTful APIs
Belief in and adherence to best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback
Enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development

Nice to Have

Experience with Spring boot
Worked with BFFs (Backend-for-Frontends)

We Offer

Starting salary: £111,000 - £145,000 + RSU ($75,000 New + $37,500 Annual Refresher)
