Senior/Middle FPGA Engineer :: R&D thermal cameras platform

Role Mission: Develop FPGA logic that takes a data stream from the sensor and delivers it cleanly, synchronized, and lossless-and personally brings it to a working state on real hardware.

Responsibilities

• Development and support of FPGA logic for cameras, sensor modules, and embedded devices.
• Development of digital modules in Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL.
• Working with interfaces MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, DVP, SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet, GPIO.
• Implementation of data streaming.
• Integration of IP Core and custom RTL modules.
• Working with AXI / AXI-Stream, DMA, FIFO, BRAM, DDR.
• Setting up CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) and timing constraints.
• Simulation, verification, and timing analysis.
• FPGA bring-up and debugging on real hardware using ILA, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer.
• Interaction with embedded, electronics, and image processing engineers.

Requirements

• Necessary Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years of practical FPGA development experience.
  • Proficiency in Verilog / SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Practical experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado or similar FPGA development environment.
  • Understanding of FPGA architecture, synchronous digital design, CDC (Clock Domain Crossing).
  • Experience with AXI, FIFO, BRAM, DDR/DMA, and streaming data.
  • Experience writing testbench, RTL simulation, and working with timing constraints.
  • Practical experience in FPGA bring-up and hardware debugging.
  • Basic understanding of FPGA schematics: clock, reset, Flash, JTAG, I/O banks.
  • Ability to read datasheets, reference manuals, and technical documentation in English.
  • Independence, systematic approach, and ability to bring tasks to a working result.

• Nice to Have

  • Experience in developing cameras, thermal, or imaging systems.
  • Practical experience with MIPI CSI-2 / D-PHY, DVP, LVDS, Ethernet.
  • Experience implementing FPGA video pipeline and working with RAW/RGB/YUV data.
  • Experience with Zynq SoC, DDR, DMA, and FPGA integration with Embedded Linux.
  • Basic understanding of Device Tree and Linux drivers.
  • Knowledge of C/C++, Python, or HLS for testing and implementing algorithms.
