About the Position

Services Engineer – Water Treatment System

Singapore, Singapore

We design, supply, and operate a range of water systems, from Oil & Gas applications to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio of technologies includes solids-contact clarification, membrane & media filtration, electrolysis, digestion, evaporation, ozone/UV disinfection, and more. Our portfolio also includes chemicals & monitoring solutions, start-up & operation, membrane & ion exchange products, and custom engineered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as VEOLIA point of contact for the customer. Develop relationships with customers and manage client portfolios; be the leader in frontline dealing with customer demands and deliveries.
• Work in close cooperation with the Singapore Service Leader, service center leader, and sales/proposal team to deliver work orders/projects and resolve customer issues.
• Liaise with procurement, 3rd party vendors/contractors for quotations, site surveys, orders, deliveries, and work executions.
• Initiate & implement required modification and retrofit projects (Value-Added Projects).
• Manage a team of specialists and various subcontractors for works execution. Provide guidance to the team on technical, resources, skills/knowledge, and reporting to achieve services excellence.
• Manage and execute ad-hoc services/small projects (managerial & hands-on).
• Implement and promote VEOLIA EHS and Ethics policies. Manage service orders and assignments in compliance with applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices. Ensure permanent link with EHS leaders to improve EHS culture and comply with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain availability on a 24-hour per day/365 day per year call basis to ensure coverage for FSR duties, EHS, and production emergencies.

Requirements

• Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or equivalent degree in engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years of experience in a field service or operation and maintenance position for Ultra-Pure Water, Waste Water & process treatment field.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft and Google Workspace applications.
• Diploma Holders in Electrical/Instrument background with at least 5 years’ experience in the relevant field may apply.

Nice to Have

• Possess experience in managing a site team consisting of 4 – 6 team members.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the operation & maintenance of water treatment systems or facility operation (RO, EDI, UF, Filters, WWTP).
• Experienced with control systems (SCADA or HMI).
• Strong knowledge of water treatment systems: UF, RO, and EDI/IX.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to interface at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
