Responsibilities
During Training:
- Learn our robotic systems from the ground up in assembly and commissioning.
- Support mechanical and electrical setup, testing, and functional tests.
- Familiarize yourself with LUNA, our robotics solutions, and service processes.
- Learn to identify error patterns across electrical, mechanical, sensor, robotics, and software.
- Accompany experienced colleagues on initial customer and service assignments.
After Training:
- Analyze technical issues in robotics and automation systems.
- Provide remote and on-site support to our customers.
- Systematically isolate faults in software, robotics, sensor, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Work with our Python-based automation platform LUNA.
- Examine logs, configurations, interfaces, and system states.
- Adjust existing configurations and minor software functions.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and technical optimizations.
- Assist in the assembly and commissioning of new robotic systems.
- Coordinate service assignments with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
- Document error patterns and solutions in our service system.
- Provide support on technical questions regarding spare parts, components, and extensions.
- Report recurring errors and improvement ideas to our product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- A completed apprenticeship as an electrician, mechatronics technician, or a comparable electrical qualification.
- Ability to be deployed as an electrical specialist.
- Practical experience in technical service, commissioning, machine and plant construction, or industrial automation.
- Ability to safely and independently perform electrical work on machines and systems.
- Structured analysis and step-by-step isolation of technical problems.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical relationships.
- Ability to read and use circuit diagrams for troubleshooting.
- High affinity for software and interest in Python-based systems.
- Enjoy direct customer contact and communicate calmly and solution-oriented even in challenging situations.
- Willingness to initially learn our systems practically in assembly and commissioning.
- Ability to work on-site in Paderborn during training.
- Willingness to undertake regular travel of approximately 60–80% after training.
- Possession of a Class B driver's license.
- Fluent in German and good communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with different robot brands and automation technologies.
- Experience with LUNA and other Python-based systems.
- Experience in a hybrid working model.
