About the Team

This person is the local representative for Process Management and Smart Factory activities and drives the digitalization and continuous improvement of plant processes.

The position operates as a local Smart Factory expert and project coordinator without direct people management responsibility.

Responsibilities

Industry 4.0 and Digitalization: Support the development of our Smart Factory concept by introducing modern digital technologies and connecting automated processes, equipment, and information systems.
Automation Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of TGW Miniload, Shuttle, conveyor systems, and AGVs to increase efficiency and reliability.
Data Analysis and KPIs: Work with operational data, monitor KPIs such as OEE, equipment availability, and performance, and identify opportunities for further improvement.
IT/OT Systems Integration: Support the integration of PLCs, SCADA, WMS/SAP EWM, and other IT systems, ensuring safe and efficient data exchange between automation technologies and business systems.
IT Security and Cybersecurity: Work on securing industrial control systems and IT/OT infrastructure, identify security risks, and support the implementation of measures to protect data, networks, and automated technologies.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Propose, test, and implement new technologies, automation solutions, and digital tools in line with Industry 4.0 principles, focusing on safety, efficiency, and long-term operational reliability.

Requirements

2–4 years of relevant experience in Operations, Engineering, Digitalization, or Process Management.
Experience with digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects.
Experience with project coordination and implementation.
Good understanding of IT/OT systems, system interrelationships, and IT architectures.
Understanding of shopfloor systems such as MES, SCADA, PLC-related systems, and machine connectivity.
Understanding of IT and OT Cybersecurity principles and relevant security requirements.
Experience with process management and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform / low-code and no-code solutions is an advantage.
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong networking, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities without direct authority.
Training and knowledge-transfer capabilities.
Results- and process-oriented approach.
Strong ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to work independently as the local Smart Factory expert.
