About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions. The role will serve as the primary technical authority for the data engagement, owning the end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling, and consumption layers.
Responsibilities
- Own and govern the end-to-end data architecture strategy across data ingestion, processing, storage, modelling, and consumption.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for all data architecture decisions and solution designs.
- Define data platform standards, architecture principles, and best practices across the organization.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions on AWS and Snowflake.
- Establish data models, data lineage, metadata management, and governance frameworks.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate data tools, platforms, and integration technologies.
- Design and oversee data ingestion patterns using modern ELT/ETL frameworks and cloud-native services, including tools such as Fivetran and Coalesce.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into architectural solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, regulatory, and enterprise governance requirements.
- Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical decision-making forums.
- Define non-functional requirements including scalability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Guide engineering teams through implementation and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
- Support AI/ML initiatives by designing data foundations and machine learning architectures leveraging SageMaker.
