SOC Junior Analyst

About the Position

We are looking for a SOC Junior Analyst to join our ISS Tech Team. The primary purpose of this role is to monitor and analyze security events to protect the organization’s information assets. This role involves identifying and responding to potential security incidents, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data.

The primary purpose of the SOC Junior Analyst position is to monitor and analyze security events to protect the organization’s information assets. This role involves identifying and responding to potential security incidents, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. The analyst is expected to work proactively to prevent security breaches and enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and assess potential threats.
• Analyze security incidents and escalate issues as necessary.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security improvements.
• Maintain and update security incident documentation.
• Provide support during security investigations and audits.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Experience with network protocols and packet analysis.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
• Certification such as SANS, CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is preferred.
• Good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
