Festanstellung

About the Role

As a Social Media Manager (all genders), you will be at the heart of content creation: planning, producing, and transforming trends into high-performing short videos. You will manage the accounts of your projects from idea to reporting, staying close to the community. At MAI, you will work closely with our influencer and performance teams.

MAI is a strong group with eight agencies located in Hamburg, Berlin, Paderborn, Cologne, Augsburg, Munich, and Vienna – united by shared goals, mutual exchange, and collaboration across locations. Wherever you start with us, you will be part of your local team and simultaneously part of MAI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project accounts end-to-end: editorial planning, ideas, content creation, distribution, community, and reporting. Your standard is a consistent brand appearance according to the content and channel strategy.
  • Research trends, target groups, competition, and content. You know how to activate target groups.
  • Develop formats that create reach, community, and brand relevance. You quickly translate trends and cultural moments into content. You test new formats and tools.
  • Develop short videos from concept to shooting to editing, produce yourself or coordinate with external partners.
  • Write and edit for different platforms and brand voices, ensuring tonality and quality.
  • Actively manage the community: monitoring, moderation, interaction, and relationship building. You coordinate requests with the relevant departments. You initiate mechanics like Q&As or challenges and respond to pain points from comments and DMs.
  • Handle escalations and crises: categorize, forward, document, and respond in coordination. For this, you create and maintain response guidelines.
  • Serve as the interface to our influencer marketing and paid media teams and coordinate creator collaborations and social ads.
  • Be responsible for the social KPIs of your projects. You observe the market, platforms, and competition, provide data-based recommendations, and present results.
  • Design workflows for briefings, approvals, publishing, and asset management.
  • Onboard junior colleagues, brief them, and ensure smooth handovers, e.g., for off-hours and substitutions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in social media management in an agency or on a brand side, with hands-on responsibility for always-on accounts.
  • Familiarity with platforms and their mechanics, especially TikTok, Instagram/Meta, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Editorial processes and community dynamics are your daily routine.
  • Experience in setting up or significantly developing channels or communities.
  • A good sense for trends, content, and brand communication. High standards, yet quick.
  • Structured work with a high quality standard and the ability to see where improvements can be made.
  • Proficiency with social media management and social listening tools, moderation workflows, and response guidelines.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva Teams, Premiere, or CapCut.
  • Natural use of AI and bringing ideas on how to improve processes with it.
  • Fluent in German and good English.
  • Mandatory: Send us work samples of your short videos.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other social media platforms and tools.
