Your Tasks

  • Planning and implementation of state-of-the-art, distributed systems with Java on the leading cloud platforms
  • Technical leadership of the Java Development Team
  • Active participation in the design, review, and further development of architectures for Java/Cloud projects
  • You like to support and advise across all project phases and set the direction for your team
  • You conduct active research & development in search of the latest tech trends

Your Profile

  • Degree in computer science, media informatics, media technology, or business informatics or comparable qualification
  • Analytical skills, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as a high degree of initiative and motivation
  • Strong practical experience in the field of backend development
  • Development of larger distributed applications with the Spring ecosystem or Java EE in the cloud
  • Experience with API design with REST and ideally also GraphQL
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis/MongoDB/CosmosDb)
  • Experience in the DevOps area with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Pulumi)
  • Experience in CI/CD (Gitlab/Azure DevOps or similar)
  • At least good knowledge of German at B1 level, as well as very good knowledge of English at B2 level
  • Advantageous, but not necessary: existing experience in a lead developer role

Tech Stack

  • Programming languages: Java 11+ (alternatively also Kotlin)
  • Frameworks: Spring, Java EE
  • Cloud: Azure, GCP, or AWS
  • Advantageous: Experience with other cloud platforms/edge computing, Experience with cloud native (e.g., Kubernetes)
