The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Developer Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join the Digital Analytics and System Health (DASH) software team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will support one or more programs in the DASH portfolio within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization. The selected candidate will join our dynamic group focused on model-based sustainment simulation capabilities to provide action insights to support faster, data-driven decisions on fleet health. This role will contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of web-based applications, databases, and data processing tools on advanced aircraft programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack software solutions that support model-based sustainment simulations
  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable software systems
  • Coordinate complex development efforts across multiple teams and disciplines, ensuring alignment with program objectives
  • Lead or contribute to project planning, code reviews, and agile development processes
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues to ensure reliability and performance
  • Continuously improve software processes, tools, and documentation to enhance team productivity and product quality
  • Apply strong system-level thinking to integrate software components effectively within the broader operational environment
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
    • 5+ years of experience in full stack software development
  • Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
    • Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
    • 3+ years of experience supporting multiple programs and functions
    • 1+ years of experience with mission/safety-critical software development
    • 1+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver practical, effective solutions
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Experience working in an agile development environment
    • Proven leadership or project coordination experience
    • Familiarity with software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
