Software Development Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with expertise in post-silicon development and validation for server platforms. This role is based in Bengaluru, India.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate post-silicon software solutions for server platforms, ensuring reliable system functionality and performance.
• Develop and execute validation tests for FCH IPs (I2C, I3C, UART, SATA, SPI, eSPI, ACPI) and debug hardware-software integration issues.
• Perform RAS validation, including DDR and PCIe error injection, detection, recovery, and analysis of MCA, ECC, CRC, DRAM scrubbers, and PCIe AER scenarios.
• Collaborate with firmware, BIOS, hardware, and architecture teams to troubleshoot complex platform issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Analyze system behavior across x86 architecture, OS internals, SoC, chipsets, and firmware to optimize platform stability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

Must have

• Experience range: 6-9 years
• Expertise in C++ programming
• Experience with post-silicon development and validation
• Strong understanding of FCH IPs including I2C, I3C, UART, SATA, SPI, eSPI, ACPI
• Familiarity with server RAS architecture and firmware flows
• Experience in DDR/PCIe error injection, detection, and recovery
• Solid grasp of Machine Check Architecture (MCA), ECC, CRC, DRAM scrubbers, PCIe AER, etc.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, SoC, chipsets, graphics cards, BIOS, and firmware
