Software DevOps Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for...

A Software Developer with a passion for DevOps to join our team, ready to blend technical prowess with relentless innovation. We're seeking an engineer who has experience in Python and Java, fluent in OOP principles, Linux/Unix systems, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance and streamline the internal processes
• Assume ownership of various areas (e.g. QA Infrastructure, CI/CD, release engineering, various internal tools)
• Work on automation solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency
• Contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines
• Manage containerized applications
• Assist in the configurations and maintenance of monitoring tools
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve internal issues
• Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Python and Java
• Strong grasp of OOP principles
• Experience with application deployment and release engineering
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and administration
• Comprehensive understanding of computer architecture
• Experience with containerization tools (e.g. Docker)
• Expertise with Git for version control
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis CI or GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana & Prometheus
• Good understanding of networking principles and protocols
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript and NodeJS
• Experience with repository management tools
• Experience with log management systems such as ELK
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of Build-Artifacts management systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
