Responsibilities

• Design & build Ocean Protocol core software, from the level of blockchain to the level of dapps
• Co-plan and co-design the product with your team in an agile, open-source development process

Requirements

• 10+ years of software experience
• 2+ years Python
• 2+ years JavaScript
• 1+ years blockchain software experience
• 6+ months Solidity experience
• Python: 5+ years experience. Strong proficiency in Python programming and a deep understanding of its ecosystem would be fantastic.
• Web3: 1+ years experience, with a solid understanding of interacting with smart contracts
• Docker: 1+ years experience. Practical knowledge in Docker
• Focus on the outcome. Work with the team to set goals, then achieve the goals. Be a creative “make it happen” problem solver.
• Proficient in writing & speaking English

Nice to Have

• JavaScript: 1+ years experience. Familiarity with reading and understanding JavaScript code will come in handy when collaborating on projects involving both Python and JavaScript.
• 1+ years CI/CD experience (e.g. Travis, tox)
• Obsession with blockchain. Follow crypto Twitter, play with dapps, read about Token Engineering, and maybe even yield farm.
• Experience with cool stuff built with: data/service-oriented Web3 tech (IPFS / Filecoin, TheGraph, Chainlink, Polkadot / Substrate, Cosmos) or backend services (REST APIs, Travis, Docker, GraphQL, K8s). The nerdier the better :)
